Note: Ramadan 2027 is expected to start on the evening of Sunday, 7 February 2027, and will conclude on the evening of Monday, 8 March 2027, but the exact dates totally depend on the moon sighting.

Which Ashra of Ramadan Is Best for Umrah?

The third (last) Ashra of Ramadan is spiritually the best time for Umrah. This is because it includes Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), which is worth more than a thousand months of worship. But still every Ashra holds its own spiritual importance. The rewards for good deeds during Ramadan are multiplied extensively, ranging from 70 times to over 700 times their normal value, with some rewards known only to Allah.

First Ashra (Days 1–10) Mercy-Quieter than the rest of the month, with more hotel availability and gentler pricing. Good for first-time pilgrims, elderly travellers, or anyone who wants a calmer introduction to Ramadan in Makkah before the crowds build.

Second Ashra (Days 11–20) Forgiveness- A middle ground. Crowds build steadily through this period as more pilgrims arrive from across the world, but it's still noticeably less intense than the final ten nights.

Last 10 Days Ramadan Umrah Packages

Makkah Travel's last 10 days of Ramadan Umrah packages get you to Makkah before the 21st night of Ramadan, so you're there for all five odd nights (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th) when Laylatul Qadr is expected.

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said the Prophet (peace be upon him) worshipped harder in these ten nights than at any other time of the year (Sahih al-Bukhari, 2024; Sahih Muslim, 1174). No one knows exactly which night is Laylatul Qadr, described in the Quran as better than a thousand months (97:3), which is why we build these packages around the full ten nights rather than a single guess.

Timing: to catch all ten nights, arrive before Maghrib on day 20 of Ramadan. For 2027, that means flying out around 24 to 26 February with Makkah Travel.

The last 10 nights are important; if they are, then book your Umrah package before the end of September 2026, as the hotels that are close to the Haram are booked up long before Ramadan begins.
