Makkah Travel offers all-inclusive Ramadan Umrah packages, starting from £695 per person. Ramadan in 2027 is expected to run from around 7 February to 8 March, but that's not fixed until the moon is sighted. We've been arranging Ramadan Umrah trips from the UK since 2010.
Every package we sell is ATOL-protected under license 12192. Don't just take our word for it, look it up yourself at caa.co.uk before booking with us or anyone else. Every Makkah Travel's Ramadan 2027 package includes flights departing from London, Manchester, or Birmingham and return, your Umrah Visa, and you'll stay in hotels near Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi, and ground transportation.
For those wanting to be there specifically for Laylatul Qadr, we offer separate Ramadan packages built around the last 10 days. A £50 deposit holds your booking, and you can pay the rest monthly.
Why Perform Umrah During Ramadan?
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) told a woman from the Ansar who had missed Hajj with him:
"Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj" (or in some narrations, "equivalent to Hajj with me"), Sahih al-Bukhari, 1863; Sahih Muslim, 1256.
Beyond the reward itself, Ramadan gives you things you won't get at other times of year: Taraweeh prayers led by some of the most recognised huffaz in the world, nightly Tahajjud in the final ten nights, communal Iftar in the Haram courtyard, and the possibility of catching Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree, described in the Qur'an as "better than a thousand months" (Surah Al-Qadr, 97:3).
It is good to know the full story, too. Ramadan is the busiest time in Makkah, after Hajj. Tawaf takes longer, the mosques get full way before prayer, and you need patience, just like energy. We tell every pilgrim this before they book, because knowing what to expect makes the trip much easier.
Note: Ramadan 2027 is expected to start on the evening of Sunday, 7 February 2027, and will conclude on the evening of Monday, 8 March 2027, but the exact dates totally depend on the moon sighting.
Why Book Ramadan Umrah 2027 with Makkah Travel?
Our Ramadan Umrah packages are ATOL protected, so your flight and accommodation payments are covered if something goes wrong on the airline or ground-handling side. We work through ATOL-protected channels for flight bookings and process Umrah visas in line with current Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah requirements, including registration through the Nusuk platform where applicable.
We're a UK-based Umrah and Hajj travel agency, and Ramadan packages make up a large share of what we handle every year. It's not something we bolt on alongside Hajj season. That matters practically: we know which hotels sell out first for the last ten nights, which flight routes get squeezed as Ramadan approaches, and where the visa bottlenecks tend to appear.
What's Included in a Ramadan Umrah Package
Makkah Travel's Ramadan Umrah packages usually include;
Return flights from your chosen UK airport
Hotel accommodation in Makkah and Madinah (5-star: 100–400m, 4-star: 300–600m, 3-star: 500–1,200m from Masjid al-Haram).
Umrah visa processing and Nusuk registration support
Airport transfers and inter-city transport between Makkah and Madinah
Ziyarah tours (guided visits to historic and religious sites)
24/7 support from our team while you're travelling
What's typically not included, unless specified in your quote:
Meals beyond what the hotel provides (many 4- and 5-star hotels include buffet breakfast; some include Suhoor and Iftar spreads during Ramadan, but this varies by hotel and should be confirmed at booking)
Travel insurance
Personal spending, souvenirs, and optional excursions
Vaccination costs
Excess baggage charges
We'll always confirm exactly what's in your specific package in writing before you pay a deposit. If a quote looks vague on inclusions, ask us to break it down.
Ramadan 2027 Umrah Packages by Ashra, Budget, and Travel Style
Our Ramadan 2027 Umrah Packages include First Ashra, Second Ashra, Last 10 Nights, and full-month stays, along with budget, luxury, family, group, and couples' options starting from just £695 per person. Each package is designed to suit different travel dates, budgets, and pilgrimage preferences. We offer:
3 Star Ramadan Umrah Packages from £695 per person. A short walk or shuttle ride from the Haram, comfortable rooms, solid value for pilgrims prioritising the trip itself over the room.
4 Star Ramadan Umrah Packages from £759 per person. Closer to the Haram, buffet breakfast included, family and quad rooms available, a good middle ground for most travellers.
5 Star Ramadan Umrah Packages from £1060 per person. Under 200 metres from the Haram in Makkah, some with direct views, built for pilgrims who want to walk straight out to every prayer with minimal effort.
Whatever Ashra and hotel category you choose, Makkah Travel puts the package together around your dates, your budget, and how close you want to be to the Haram. Call 020 8016 5786 or WhatsApp us at +44790462124, and we'll confirm what's available for your preferred window.
Which Ashra of Ramadan Is Best for Umrah?
The third (last) Ashra of Ramadan is spiritually the best time for Umrah. This is because it includes Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), which is worth more than a thousand months of worship. But still every Ashra holds its own spiritual importance. The rewards for good deeds during Ramadan are multiplied extensively, ranging from 70 times to over 700 times their normal value, with some rewards known only to Allah.
First Ashra (Days 1–10) Mercy-Quieter than the rest of the month, with more hotel availability and gentler pricing. Good for first-time pilgrims, elderly travellers, or anyone who wants a calmer introduction to Ramadan in Makkah before the crowds build.
Second Ashra (Days 11–20) Forgiveness- A middle ground. Crowds build steadily through this period as more pilgrims arrive from across the world, but it's still noticeably less intense than the final ten nights.
Last 10 Days Ramadan Umrah Packages
Makkah Travel's last 10 days of Ramadan Umrah packages get you to Makkah before the 21st night of Ramadan, so you're there for all five odd nights (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th) when Laylatul Qadr is expected.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said the Prophet (peace be upon him) worshipped harder in these ten nights than at any other time of the year (Sahih al-Bukhari, 2024; Sahih Muslim, 1174). No one knows exactly which night is Laylatul Qadr, described in the Quran as better than a thousand months (97:3), which is why we build these packages around the full ten nights rather than a single guess.
Timing: to catch all ten nights, arrive before Maghrib on day 20 of Ramadan. For 2027, that means flying out around 24 to 26 February with Makkah Travel.
After the last night: most of our pilgrims stay for Eid al-Fitr at the Haram, around 9 March 2027. Prefer Madinah instead? Tell us, and we'll route your final days through Masjid an-Nabawi.
Doing Itikaf? Let our team know at booking. We'll get you into the closest hotel your budget allows, so a 2am walk is minutes, not half an hour, and we'll talk you through the current registration process nearer your travel date.
Book early with Makkah Travel: these are our fastest-selling packages every year, often gone 5 to 6 months before Ramadan. You can secure your spot today with a small deposit. Wait until December, and you'll likely pay hundreds more, if rooms near the Haram are left at all.
Call or WhatsApp us to lock in your last 10-day Ramadan Umrah package before the best hotels go.

Alongside the Ashra-based packages, we also arrange:

Short Stay Ramadan Umrah-5–7 nights, often combined with the last ten days
Luxury Ramadan Umrah-5-star hotels within very close walking distance of the Haram
Budget Ramadan Umrah- value 3-star options slightly further out, with transport included
Family Ramadan Umrah-family and quad rooms, adjoining rooms where available, and slower-paced itineraries
Group Ramadan Umrah- for mosques, community organisations, and travel groups booking together
The price of the 7-night Ramadan Umrah package 2027 from the UK ranges from £695 per person for 3-star hotel accommodation to £759 per person for 4-star and £1160 per person for 5-star accommodation in the vicinity of the Haram. This includes the flights, Umrah visa, hotel accommodation and transfers, no additional fees. Travelling in the last 10 days will raise prices by £200 to £400 compared to the first half of Ramadan, only because the number of pilgrims has increased while the number of hotel rooms remains the same. The last 10 nights are important; if they are, then book your Umrah package before the end of September 2026, as the hotels that are close to the Haram are booked up long before Ramadan begins.
Keep in mind that final package pricing varies based on:
Which Ashra you travel in - the last ten nights cost noticeably more than the first Ashra
Hotel distance from the Haram - a room with a Kaaba view or one within 100 metres costs far more than one a 10–15 minute walk away
Room occupancy - quad and triple rooms cost less per person than doubles
How far in advance you book - prices for the last ten nights typically rise sharply from around 3–4 months before Ramadan onwards
Flight route - direct flights from Heathrow tend to cost more than indirect options via Gulf carriers
Hotel star rating - 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star options can differ by hundreds of pounds per person

Preparing for Your Ramadan 2027 Umrah Journey
Before travelling for Ramadan Umrah, make sure your documents, visa, vaccinations, and travel arrangements are in order. The information below covers the key requirements and practical tips to help you prepare for your journey.
Passport - must have at least 6 months' validity from your travel date.
Visa - Umrah visas are processed through the Nusuk platform and issued electronically in most cases. Processing times can extend closer to Ramadan due to volume, so submit documents as early as we ask for them.
Vaccinations - meningitis (ACWY) vaccination is typically required for Umrah visa applicants; check current requirements with your GP or a travel health clinic, as guidance can be updated by Saudi authorities.
Nusuk App - used for visa registration and, in some cases, for booking entry slots to certain sites. We'll talk you through anything you need to set up before you travel.
Packing tips - Ihram garments for men (we can advise on where to buy these), modest clothing for women, comfortable sandals for the Haram, a light shawl for air-conditioned spaces, and a reusable Zamzam-safe water bottle.
Money - Saudi Riyal is the local currency; most hotels and larger shops accept UK cards, but it's worth carrying some cash for taxis and smaller purchases. UK SIM cards often have limited coverage. A local SIM or eSIM is worth arranging on arrival.
Weather – As Ramadan 2027 is expected to fall in early February, pilgrims can generally expect pleasant weather in Makkah, with comfortable mornings and evenings and warm daytime temperatures. These conditions make it easier to perform Umrah and spend more time in worship, though it's still sensible to stay hydrated during the day.
